May 04 2012 A Synopsis Of This Morning's News... H/t to ChrisM my MP3Angel for supplying the audio files. «o»The Pakistani parliament is still refusing to re-open the Khyber Pass and it's not clear whether anyone in the country except for the corrupt officials who will scavenge the foreign aid package being negotiated as part of that deal to allow our high road route to Afghanistan to be re-opened cares if the deal is scrapped.
«o»According to new numbers unemployment in the US has dropped to 8.18%, down from last month. But viewing un-adjusted short term unemployment numbers is an exercise in futility and disinformation. You'll be hearing more about whether the Obama administration is responsible for a job recovery in this weekend's talking head politics shows on TV.
«o»The saga of the State Department fronted (ChinaAid... All you know about him comes from an NED 'color revolution' NGO) "Blind Chinese Anti-Forced-Abortion activist" continues with him seeking an agreement from the Chinese government to allow him to study overseas accompanied by his family. The US would give him top priority if that occurred. He also made a speech before congress by cell phone, which had been provided by "guests" visiting him in the hospital. He claims he's infirm, but scaled the wall of his yard when he fled to the US embassy last week.
«o»The White House is suggesting that we forget about Syria because we just can't find enough countries willing to boycott that country under siege by a NATO/CIA army
«o»How apropos... Dinosaurs. David Koch, one of the well-known billionaire brothers who finance right wing causes has just donated $35 million dollars to the Smithsonian Institution in order to enable the building of a 'dinosaur mall' on a piece of that august institution's property holdings at the National Mall.
«o»Forty two years ago today… Kent State University Ohio, 12:24pm. 67 gunshots and 13 seconds later there were four dead unarmed students, blood on the hands of the Ohio National Guard, and college students across America began ripping their institutions of "higher education" a new asshole.
Remember folks... The armed authorities of the US government have no qualms whatsoever about killing you if you threaten their looting.
Today is the forty second anniverary of the Kent State Massacre and it behooves us to ask the question:
Will a Militarized Police Force Facing Occupy Wall Street Lead to Another Kent State Massacre?
Today is the 42nd anniversary of an ugly chapter in American history.
I don’t want to be unduly cynical, but the Kent State and Jackson State protests were typical in their day—and were met by the same kinds of police shows of force that we have seen since last fall—the use of the paramilitary tools of their time.
I don’t think it is a question of if police will be provoked into indiscriminately shooting or tasering if protests seem out of control, but of when they will panic and unleash deadly force [In Full @ Alternet]
Recently it's been in the news that we are involved in naval exercises in the South China Sea with the Philippine navy. The Philippines also appears to have some vague claim over the shoals near the Spratly Islands as do China, Vietnam and another country whose name doesn't immediately come to mind.
Halliburton test drilled in the Spratly Island chain for oil there during the Vietnam war using mercenaries and US Special Forces teams for protection.
The looting continues, and your government WILL STILL beat you, imprison you, or kill you if you get in their way.

The following are the eight and ninth issues of “Inspire” magazine reportedly produced by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s media organization Al-Malahem. There are seven previous issues of Inspire magazine, all of which have been published by this site, and we have continually expressed our desire for readers to scrutinize the authenticity of the material provided in this publication. This scrutiny is especially important given that the supposed editor of Inspire magazine was reportedly killed in a drone strike last year. We have removed password protection from the PDF to enable easier analysis, but have left the files’ original metadata intact. As with all seven previous issues of the magazine we must emphasize that this material is provided, as always, for educational and informational purposes...
